Carlyle to Acquire AutoForm from Astorg

Global investment firm Carlyle has agreed to acquire AutoForm AG, a Swiss provider of sheet metal forming and Body-in-White (BiW) assembly simulation software, from private equity firm Astorg. The transaction — subject to regulatory approvals — will see Carlyle support AutoForm’s growth by investing in its software platform, commercial operations and pursuing further acquisitions; financial terms were not disclosed.
