The transaction creates a standalone, UK-headquartered automotive retail software platform serving dealers and OEMs across EMEA and Asia, and Francisco Partners intends to accelerate product development and pursue growth and add-on acquisitions.

Brookfield Business Partners Acquires DexKo Global from KPS Capital Partners

Brookfield Business Partners L.P., together with its institutional partners, agreed to acquire DexKo Global Inc. from KPS Capital Partners for $3.4 billion. DexKo, a Novi, Michigan–based manufacturer of chassis technology and trailer/RV components employing more than 6,000 people with global production and distribution footprint, was transformed under KPS via 15 acquisitions and operational improvements prior to the sale.

e-Emphasys Technologies Acquires CDK Global Heavy Equipment

e-Emphasys Technologies has merged with CDK Global Heavy Equipment to form a combined enterprise software leader for the heavy equipment and industrial machinery industry, operating under the e-Emphasys name and headquartered in Cary, North Carolina. The transaction is backed by private equity sponsors TA Associates and True Wind Capital; Jeffrey Hart was named CEO and the combined company has a global employee base of nearly 700 and serves roughly 4,200 dealer rooftops.

CDK Global Acquires Computerized Vehicle Registration (CVR)

CDK Global has acquired full ownership of Computerized Vehicle Registration (CVR), a provider of electronic vehicle titling and registration services used by dealerships, insurers, lenders and tag agencies. CVR processes nearly 15 million vehicle transactions and more than 4 million DMV inquiries annually across 17 states; CDK plans to integrate and invest in CVR to expand its dealer-facing software and services.

Cadillac Fairview Acquires 50% Stake in KDC

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and KKR Acquire Cloudera for $5.3 Billion

Cloudera entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by affiliates of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) and KKR in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $5.3 billion, expected to close in the second half of 2021. The deal will take Cloudera private and provide $16.00 per share to shareholders, with Cloudera continuing to be led by CEO Rob Bearden.
