Lawson Products, the operating company of Distribution Solutions Group (DSG), has completed the acquisition of S&S Automotive, a Midwest-based automotive and industrial parts distributor headquartered in Woodridge, Illinois. The transaction — funded with DSG cash and its credit facility — will combine S&S with Lawson's Kent Automotive division to expand product offering, vendor-managed inventory (VMI) capabilities and geographic reach; S&S reported approximately $40 million in annual revenue and the deal is expected to be accretive to DSG's adjusted EPS and EBITDA margins.

Sandvik AB has agreed to acquire GWS Tool Group from L Squared Capital Partners and GWS management; GWS will be reported within Walter, Sandvik's machining solutions division. GWS, a Tavares, Florida-based manufacturer of made-to-order cutting tools (including PCD tools and taps) with ~490 employees and nearly $100M in revenue, was grown via multiple add-ons under L Squared; the purchase price was not disclosed and the deal is expected to close in Q4 2021.
