Luna Innovations Incorporated acquired Silixa, a UK-based leader in distributed fiber optic sensing, for $21.5 million in upfront cash plus up to $16.5 million in earnouts. The deal, partially funded by a strategic investment from White Hat Capital Partners, adds DAS, DTS and DSS capabilities to Luna's portfolio and expands its presence in the U.K./EMEA and end markets such as energy, mining and defense.

Semtech Corporation to Acquire Sierra Wireless
