Edison Chouest Offshore has acquired Aberdeen-headquartered ROVOP from energy-focused private equity firm Bluewater. ROVOP, a leading provider of ROV subsea services that grew under Bluewater's ownership to £53 million in FY2023 revenue, will be integrated into Edison Chouest’s global marine and subsea capabilities.

The carve-out, headquartered in Brattvåg, Norway with ~160 employees, positions Neuver as a dedicated lifecycle partner for maneuvering solutions with a focus on aftermarket, service and product expansion under Norvestor ownership.

Vatn Systems Acquires Crewless Marine

Vatn Systems, a Portsmouth, Rhode Island defense-technology company, has acquired Rhode Island-based Crewless Marine to bring advanced underwater acoustic sensing and real-time signal-processing capabilities in‑house. Crewless Marine co‑founders Dr. Steve Bordonaro and Dr. Philip Caspers will join Vatn in senior engineering roles; financial terms were not disclosed. The deal strengthens Vatn’s vertical integration, reduces supply‑chain dependencies, and accelerates development of AUV acoustic capabilities for defense and environmental markets.

Nauticus Robotics Acquires 3D at Depth

Nauticus Robotics (NASDAQ: KITT) agreed to acquire 3D at Depth, a Colorado-based subsea LiDAR and inspection services provider, in an all-stock transaction valuing the deal at approximately $34 million (before adjustments) and assuming about $4.1 million of debt. The acquisition brings 3D's subsea laser LiDAR technology, data services, and patent portfolio to Nauticus, expanding its autonomous underwater capabilities and commercial addressable market in offshore energy and renewables.

Kraken Robotics Announces Acquisition of Covelya Group for $615 Million

Kraken Robotics Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire Covelya Group Limited for total consideration of $615 million, consisting of $480 million in cash and $135 million in Kraken shares.
