Clean Harbors, Inc. completed its acquisition of HEPACO, a field and emergency response environmental services provider in the Eastern United States, for $400 million in cash. The deal was purchased from Gryphon Investors and financed via proceeds from a recently expanded $500 million term loan facility.

The transaction — financed with existing cash and proceeds from a new $1.0 billion incremental term loan — expands Clean Harbors' industrial services capabilities and creates cross-selling and margin-improvement opportunities across refining, chemical and utilities end markets.
