Cornerstone Bank to Acquire Athol Savings Bank (Merger Agreement)

Cornerstone Bank (a subsidiary of PeoplesBancorp, MHC) and Athol Savings Bank announced the execution of a merger agreement under which Athol Savings Bank will merge into Cornerstone Bank. Athol Savings Bank will operate as a division of Cornerstone, retaining its name and five branch locations, with the deal expected to close in the first quarter of 2026 subject to approvals.
