Summa Defence Acquires Lännen MCE Oy

Finnish defence and security group Summa Defence Ltd has acquired Lännen MCE Oy (including its subsidiaries Lännen Tractors Oy, Aquamec Oy and Lännen MCE AB) through a share exchange agreement. The deal brings Lännen's multipurpose machinery and Watermaster capabilities into Summa Defence's portfolio to strengthen mobility and dual-use solutions for defence and civilian infrastructure; Lännen reported ~€50m revenue and ~150 employees for the year ending June 2023.

HANZA AB has completed the acquisition of Finnish contract manufacturer Leden Group Oy for EUR 21 million in cash plus 2.3 million newly issued HANZA shares, with earn-outs of up to EUR 15 million and up to 300,000 shares. The deal adds roughly 600 employees and five production facilities (four in Finland, one in Estonia), strengthening HANZA's sheet metal, machining and complex assembly capabilities and broadening its customer base in energy storage, energy distribution and industrial automation.
