Heubach Group and SK Capital Partners Acquire Clariant's Global Colorants Business

The Heubach Group and SK Capital Partners completed the acquisition of Clariant's Global Colorants Business (Clariant Pigments), combining the two businesses to operate under the Heubach brand and form a global pigment technology leader. The combined Heubach Group will operate from nineteen manufacturing facilities, establish its headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and employ approximately 3,000 people; Stefan Doboczky was named CEO effective January 10, 2022.

ChromaScape Acquires Greenville Colorants

ChromaScape, a specialty chemicals manufacturer, has acquired Greenville Colorants, a processor of liquid and powder dyes with a portfolio of over 2,000 products and manufacturing locations in New Jersey, South Carolina and California. The deal expands ChromaScape's product capabilities and extends its manufacturing footprint in the Southeast; Greenville's leadership (Ron Weiss and Joe Lynch) invested in the transaction and will join ChromaScape's executive team.

Arkema Acquires ArrMaz from Golden Gate Capital

French chemicals maker Arkema has agreed to acquire ArrMaz, a global specialty chemicals company headquartered in Mulberry, Florida, from private equity firm Golden Gate Capital for approximately $570 million. The deal (expected to close summer 2019) brings ArrMaz's specialty additives and geographic footprint into Arkema's portfolio to expand its capabilities and end-market exposure in mining, crop nutrients and asphalt paving.

SK Capital Acquires Florachem from Carmelina Capital

Funds advised by SK Capital Partners acquired Florachem Holdings, LLC from an affiliate of Carmelina Capital. Stellus Capital Management provided senior debt financing and an equity co-investment to support the transaction. The deal positions SK Capital to grow Florachem's natural plant-based ingredients platform and support ongoing capacity and capability investments at its Jacksonville facility.

Element Materials Technology Acquires Arch Sciences Group

Element Materials Technology, a London-headquartered testing, inspection and certification provider, has acquired Arch Sciences Group, a specialist analytical services and laboratory solutions provider to the pharmaceuticals sector. The deal (which sees Limerston Capital exit its investment in Arch) brings Element a team of ~170 employees across five locations and establishes Element's entry into the European pharmaceutical market, expanding its life sciences capabilities.
