ChromaScape Acquires Greenville Colorants

ChromaScape, a specialty chemicals manufacturer, has acquired Greenville Colorants, a processor of liquid and powder dyes with a portfolio of over 2,000 products and manufacturing locations in New Jersey, South Carolina and California. The deal expands ChromaScape's product capabilities and extends its manufacturing footprint in the Southeast; Greenville's leadership (Ron Weiss and Joe Lynch) invested in the transaction and will join ChromaScape's executive team.

Archroma (SK Capital Portfolio) Acquires Huntsman Textile Effects Business

Archroma, a Pratteln, Switzerland-based specialty chemicals company and portfolio company of SK Capital Partners, entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Textile Effects business from Huntsman Corporation. The deal combines Archroma's and Huntsman Textile Effects' technologies and product portfolios to create a larger sustainable textile-chemicals platform; closing was expected in H1 2023 and the transaction was presented as a strategic add-on to Archroma's platform.

Blanchon Group Acquires Dr Schutz

Blanchon Group has acquired Dr Schutz, the German family-owned specialist in floor renovation, protection and maintenance products, in a deal supported by private equity partners IK Partners and Abenex. The acquisition adds Dr Schutz’s product lines, five main sites and ~90 employees to Blanchon’s network and is intended to accelerate Blanchon’s international expansion and strengthen its flooring capabilities across Europe, particularly in Germany and the DACH region.

Chroma Color Corporation Acquires Plastics Color Corporation

Chroma Color Corporation has acquired Plastics Color Corporation, including its two manufacturing facilities in Asheboro, North Carolina and Calumet City, Illinois. The acquisition expands Chroma's manufacturing footprint and adds Plastics Color's color concentrates, functional additives and FDA-relevant capabilities (including DMFs) to Chroma's portfolio; terms were not disclosed.

Techmer PM Acquires Colors for Plastics

The acquisition expands Techmer PM's product offerings and color technology capabilities, and brings Colors for Plastics' Elk Grove Village, Illinois and Spartanburg, South Carolina sites and employees into Techmer's organization.

DCL Corporation Acquires Sun Chemical's Goose Creek Pigments Plant

DCL Corporation acquired Sun Chemical's performance pigments manufacturing facility in Goose Creek (Bushy Park), South Carolina, closing on July 31, 2021. The deal transfers production and sales of perylene and quinacridone pigment portfolios (and select specialty products) to DCL, adding high-performance pigments and a U.S. manufacturing base to DCL's global operations.
