ChromaScape Acquires Greenville Colorants

ChromaScape, a specialty chemicals manufacturer, has acquired Greenville Colorants, a processor of liquid and powder dyes with a portfolio of over 2,000 products and manufacturing locations in New Jersey, South Carolina and California. The deal expands ChromaScape's product capabilities and extends its manufacturing footprint in the Southeast; Greenville's leadership (Ron Weiss and Joe Lynch) invested in the transaction and will join ChromaScape's executive team.

AGC Inc. Acquires Park Electrochemical's Electronics Business

AGC Inc. (Tokyo) has agreed to acquire the electronics business of US-based Park Electrochemical Corp. for about ¥16 billion. The deal transfers Park's CCL and related printed-circuit materials operations (with manufacturing in the US, Singapore and France) to AGC to strengthen its high-end materials and next-generation high-speed communications product portfolio; Park will retain its aerospace business and remain a US public company.

Heubach Group and SK Capital Partners Acquire Clariant's Global Colorants Business

The Heubach Group and SK Capital Partners completed the acquisition of Clariant's Global Colorants Business (Clariant Pigments), combining the two businesses to operate under the Heubach brand and form a global pigment technology leader. The combined Heubach Group will operate from nineteen manufacturing facilities, establish its headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and employ approximately 3,000 people; Stefan Doboczky was named CEO effective January 10, 2022.

Dominion Colour Corporation Merges with LANSCO Colors to Form Global Pigment Leader

H.I.G. Capital portfolio company Dominion Colour Corporation has merged with LANSCO Colors to create a combined global pigment platform serving coatings, plastics and ink manufacturers. The merger brings together DCC's manufacturing footprint and technical centers with LANSCO's U.S. sales network to expand geographic presence (notably North America and Europe) and broaden the combined product portfolio; LANSCO's management will continue with the merged company.

Chroma Color Corporation Acquires Plastics Color Corporation

Chroma Color Corporation has acquired Plastics Color Corporation, including its two manufacturing facilities in Asheboro, North Carolina and Calumet City, Illinois. The acquisition expands Chroma's manufacturing footprint and adds Plastics Color's color concentrates, functional additives and FDA-relevant capabilities (including DMFs) to Chroma's portfolio; terms were not disclosed.

Polyventive Acquires Tri‑Tex Surfactants and Dyes & Pigments Businesses

Polyventive LLC acquired the Surfactants and Dyes & Pigments businesses of Tri‑TexCo Inc and Trichromatic‑West, Inc from funds advised by SK Capital Partners. Concurrently, Tri‑Tex's adhesives business was sold to Meridian Adhesives Group. The transaction expands Polyventive's specialty chemicals portfolio and adds manufacturing capabilities in Canada and the United States.
