CrowdStrike Acquires SecureCircle

SecureCircle founders Jeff Capone and Artem Tsai and key staff are joining CrowdStrike as the company integrates SecureCircle technology into its Falcon platform to enforce data-layer Zero Trust protection.

eBay Acquires 3PM Shield

eBay Inc. has acquired 3PM Shield LLC, an AI-based marketplace compliance and brand-protection technology provider, in a deal that closed on February 9, 2023. The acquisition brings 3PM Shield’s monitoring and counterfeit-detection capabilities in-house to strengthen eBay’s ability to prevent counterfeit, unsafe, and illegal items on its marketplace.

CrowdStrike Acquires Bionic

CrowdStrike has agreed to acquire Bionic, an Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) pioneer, to extend its Falcon Cloud Security / CNAPP offering and deliver code-to-runtime cloud security in a unified platform. The purchase price is expected to be paid predominantly in cash with a portion in stock and options; the deal is expected to close in CrowdStrike's fiscal third quarter subject to customary conditions.

CrowdStrike Acquires Preempt Security

CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. agreed to acquire Preempt Security for approximately $96 million (about $86 million cash and $10 million in stock/options) to bolster its Zero Trust and conditional access capabilities. The acquisition, expected to close in CrowdStrike's fiscal third quarter 2021, will integrate Preempt's identity- and behavior-based access controls into the CrowdStrike Falcon platform to improve protection against identity-based and insider threats.

SciShield, a Boston-based provider of environmental, health & safety (EHS) and chemical-inventory software for scientific laboratories, will use the capital to scale its platform and support growing customer demand across biotech, academic research institutions, and large pharmaceutical customers.
