Sazerac Company has acquired BuzzBallz (dba Southern Champion), the Dallas-area ready-to-drink cocktail maker founded by Merrilee Kick. The deal will add BuzzBallz's spherical RTD cocktail portfolio to Sazerac’s spirits platform and support international and U.S. distribution expansion; financial terms were not disclosed.

Illva Saronno Holding Acquires Majority Stake in Sagamore Spirit

Italian spirits group Illva Saronno Holding S.p.A. has purchased a majority stake in Baltimore-based Sagamore Spirit, the rye whiskey brand and distillery owned by Sagamore Ventures (the family office of Kevin Plank). The deal expands Illva Saronno's U.S. presence and whiskey portfolio while preserving Sagamore Spirit's Maryland-based operations and enabling further market expansion.

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits Acquires Horizon Beverage Group

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits has agreed to acquire Horizon Beverage Group, Inc., adding Horizon's Massachusetts and Rhode Island operations, portfolio, warehouse capacity and delivery fleet to Southern Glazer's U.S. footprint. The transaction expands Southern Glazer's presence into the two states and will keep Horizon's current leadership and family owners involved through the transition.
