The Hilb Group, a Richmond-based property & casualty and employee benefits brokerage, has acquired Forrest Insurance Agency of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, effective October 1, 2021. The acquisition expands Hilb Group’s P&C offerings and New England presence as Forrest principals Larry and Michael Forrest and their team join Hilb Group’s New England operations.

Abry Partners and Management Acquire Best Lawyers from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners

Boston-based private equity firm Abry Partners acquired Best Lawyers, a provider of peer-reviewed legal rankings and marketing services headquartered in Augusta, Georgia, in a deal that also included Best Lawyers' management team. Levine Leichtman Capital Partners sold the company; financial terms were not disclosed. Abry said the investment will support continued product, technology and geographic growth.
