Blue Ridge Associates, a portfolio company of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, has acquired Tax Sheltered Corporation/Tax Sheltered Compensation, Inc. (TSC), a provider of retirement plan administration and recordkeeping services. The acquisition expands Blue Ridge's capacity and technical capabilities in ESOP and qualified retirement plan administration, adding TSC's ~3,100 plans covering over 152,000 participants to its platform.

Blue Ridge ESOP Associates, a portfolio company of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, acquired substantially all of the Tax Benefits Plan Services (BPS) business of Crowe LLP. The BPS business—nearly 30 employees serving over 400 clients and more than 500 plans—will transition to Blue Ridge to strengthen its ESOP and 401(k) third‑party administration and recordkeeping capabilities.

Employer.com has acquired Bench Accounting, the bookkeeping and tax SaaS provider that recently suspended operations, in a deal intended to restore platform access and continuity for Bench customers. Employer.com said customers will retain their existing bookkeepers and platform access while Employer.com integrates Bench's bookkeeping capabilities into its workforce management and financial services offering.

The deal, advised on the sell-side by SDR Ventures, brings Phases’ ~1,750 clients into Apex’s Littleton-based accounting platform to expand Apex’s service offering and regional footprint in the Rocky Mountain region.

KlariFi Bookkeeping & Tax has acquired X'Lance Bookkeeping Ltd., a British Columbia–based bookkeeping firm, to expand KlariFi's national footprint and broaden its fractional CFO and controllership offerings. X'Lance's founder Deborah Belden will remain with the business as Vice-President, Client Success, and Bradley Meadows has been named President of the Penticton location to oversee local operations.
