Metal Powder Works (MPW) has merged with and assumed operations of Australian-based K-TIG Advanced Welding Systems in an approximately A$10 million deal, with the combined business to operate under the Metal Powder Works name. The transaction brings together MPW's DirectPowder metal-powder technology and K-TIG's automated welding systems and global distribution network; MPW also announced plans to list on the Australian Stock Exchange under the ticker MPW.

KWS, based in Burleson, Texas, is a manufacturer of screw conveyors, screw feeders, slide gates, and bucket elevators serving food, chemical, and wood process industries; it has about 165 employees and reported $45 million in trailing twelve‑month revenue.
