Sun Valley Investments AG completed a public offer to purchase 23,851,918 common shares of Mineros S.A. at COP 5,500 per share, acquiring the shares for COP 131,185,549,000 (approximately CAD $44.9M). The purchase increases Sun Valley’s ownership in Mineros from 57.42% to approximately 65.38%; Sun Valley says it will hold the shares for investment purposes and may further adjust or engage with the company over time.

Agnico Eagle Invests in Maple Gold Mines Ltd.

AngloGold Ashanti Acquires Augusta Gold Corp.

Gold Fields Limited, through a 100% owned Canadian subsidiary, agreed to acquire all issued and outstanding common shares of Osisko Mining Inc. for C$4.90 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately C$2.16 billion, representing a ~55% premium. The deal (plan of arrangement) consolidates Gold Fields’ ownership of the advanced-stage Windfall gold project and is expected to close in Q4 2024 subject to customary court and regulatory approvals.

The transaction, structured as a Plan of Arrangement, transfers control of TMAC’s Hope Bay gold assets to Agnico Eagle and includes the retirement of TMAC’s outstanding debt, with closing subject to customary regulatory and court approvals.
