Chicago-based private equity firm CORE Industrial Partners has acquired J&K Ingredients Corp., a Paterson, New Jersey manufacturer of natural, organic and clean-label bakery ingredients. CORE said it will support J&K's organic growth and pursue strategic add-on acquisitions to expand the company's product offering, customer base and end-market reach.

SK Capital Acquires J&K Ingredients from CORE Industrial Partners

The acquisition, completed November 20, 2023, positions SK Capital to build a clean-label food & beverage ingredients platform around J&K's specialty preservative and bakery ingredient capabilities; debt financing was provided by KeyBanc Capital Markets, Kayne Anderson Private Credit, and Benefit Street Partners.

CoreRx Acquires Nucleo Life Sciences

CoreRx, Inc. has acquired Nucleo Life Sciences, a boutique CDMO based in San Rafael, California, expanding CoreRx’s US West Coast development presence and formulation capabilities. The deal, supported by CoreRx’s majority owner NovaQuest Private Equity and other shareholders, will integrate Nucleo’s Fast-to-Clinic formulation expertise (including spray-dried dispersions and NucleLoad) into CoreRx’s development and manufacturing platform.

Conco Services Acquires Blue Wolf Performance Solutions

Conco Services LLC, a portfolio company backed by Rising Point Capital (and supported by Tecum Capital, UMB Capital Corporation, and Unity Hunt), acquired Blue Wolf Performance Solutions and its subsidiaries from Dorilton Capital Management. The deal, which closed May 26, 2023, folds Blue Wolf’s specialist industrial cleaning and heat-exchanger service lines into Conco to broaden capabilities and expand Conco’s service offering and geographic footprint.

Consco Foods Acquires Allied Food Distributors

Consco Foods Inc. has acquired Montreal-based Allied Food Distributors, a longtime importer and distributor of kosher food brands. Allied's operations will be integrated into Consco's 140,000 sq. ft. distribution center while operating as a division, and Consco has been named the exclusive Canadian importer/distributor for Agri Star Meat & Poultry's Aaron's Best brand effective August 1, 2025.
