CenterOak-backed Shamrock Environmental Acquires Virginia American Industries

The add-on expands Shamrock’s permitted treatment capacity and roughly doubles its regional presence, strengthening its footprint across the Southeast U.S.; terms were not disclosed.

Republic Services Acquires US Ecology for $48/Share

Republic Services agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of US Ecology for $48 per share (approximately $2.2 billion including net debt) to expand its environmental solutions capabilities and national footprint. The deal provides Republic with vertically integrated hazardous and specialty waste treatment, disposal and field-service assets, and is expected to be immediately accretive with roughly $40 million of cost synergies over three years.
