BlackSea Technologies Acquires Blue Tide Marine

BlackSea Technologies, a Baltimore-based maritime defense solutions company and portfolio company of Razors Edge Ventures, has acquired Blue Tide Marine to expand its maritime operations, unmanned systems (UxS) capabilities and at-sea support services. The acquisition integrates Blue Tide Marine's maritime expertise — including the 170' yacht support vessel OCEANUS V and a team of retired U.S. Navy SEALs and special operators — to strengthen end-to-end UxS operations, ISR, and mission sustainment for defense customers.

Saronic Acquires Gulf Craft to Accelerate Autonomous Shipbuilding

Saronic acquired Gulf Craft, a Louisiana-based shipbuilder, to establish a prototyping and production hub for its medium unmanned surface vessel (MUSV) program, beginning with the 150-foot ASV "Marauder." The deal gives Saronic nearly 100 acres in Franklin, Louisiana, retains Gulf Craft's workforce, and includes a planned $250 million investment in yard upgrades and capacity to scale production (with plans to add 500+ jobs over the next 3–4 years).

Fairbanks Morse Defense Acquires Maxim Watermakers

Fairbanks Morse Defense (a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management) has acquired Maxim Watermakers, a Shreveport, Louisiana-based maker of desalination and water treatment systems for marine defense applications. The deal adds desalination, reverse osmosis and heat-recovery evaporator capabilities to FMD’s turnkey onboard solutions offering to the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and other marine customers.

Karman Space & Defense Acquires Seemann Composites and MSC

Karman Space & Defense completed the acquisition of Seemann Composites and MSC, establishing a new Maritime Defense Systems end market and adding advanced materials, acoustic coatings and propulsion capabilities. The company amended its credit agreement to increase its incremental term loan to $772 million to fund the transaction and expects the deals to be immediately accretive to 2026 financial metrics.
