ITOCHU Corporation, through its U.K. subsidiary EUROPEAN TYRE ENTERPRISE LIMITED (ETEL), has acquired Murfitts Group Ltd, a leading U.K. tyre recycling company based in Lakenheath. The deal brings Murfitts' tyre collection, rubber-crumb manufacturing and proprietary pyrolysis technology into ITOCHU/ETEL's tyre distribution and retail network to support sustainability and vertical integration across the tyre value chain.
