Funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management have partnered with Electro Switch Corp., a Weymouth, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of engineered switches and relays. The investment will provide resources to support Electro Switch’s strategic growth initiatives and long-term expansion into power, utility, data center, defense and industrial end markets; terms were not disclosed.

Electro-Mechanical Acquires Powercon Corporation

Electro-Mechanical, LLC has acquired Powercon Corporation, a Severn, Maryland-based manufacturer of custom medium voltage switchgear, e-houses, and modular substation power systems. The deal strengthens Electro-Mechanical's capabilities in medium voltage switchgear and integrated power distribution solutions for utility, data center, and critical infrastructure customers across North America.

Sunbelt Solomon Acquires Maxima Power Group

Sunbelt Solomon Services has acquired Maxima Power Group, a NETA-accredited electrical engineering, automation, and field services provider, in a deal that expands Sunbelt Solomon’s field services scale and geographic footprint across North and South America. The acquisition, backed by Trilantic North America, brings Maxima’s ~370 employees and nearly 20 locations into Sunbelt Solomon’s platform to broaden capabilities in power distribution equipment services and full lifecycle solutions.

Loenbro LLC Acquires Switch Electric Inc.

Loenbro LLC, a Tailwind Capital-backed industrial services platform, has acquired Switch Electric Inc., a Phoenix-based electrical contractor specializing in mission-critical data center construction and maintenance. Switch Electric's founder and CEO John Fleury will remain as president of the Switch Electric subsidiary to lead data center contracting operations nationally; the deal is an add-on acquisition to Loenbro's platform to expand data center electrical capabilities and geographic coverage.

Chicago Switchboard Acquires IER Electrical Equipment and Controls

Chicago Switchboard, a portfolio company of Promise Holdings, acquired IER Electrical Equipment and Controls, a Houston-based manufacturer of custom electrical distribution and motor control solutions. Gemspring Capital (via its GGS I vehicle) made a strategic minority investment in Chicago Switchboard to support the add-on acquisition, which provides Chicago Switchboard a foothold in the Texas market; founder Mike Wolf sold the business.

EIS Acquires Power Grid Supply
