Entegris (NASDAQ: ENTG) entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire CMC Materials (NASDAQ: CCMP) in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at approximately $6.5 billion. The deal combines Entegris’ electronic materials capabilities with CMC Materials’ CMP consumables portfolio to create a more comprehensive end-to-end offering for semiconductor manufacturers.
