EQT Transition Infrastructure to Acquire Scale Microgrids

EQT Transition Infrastructure has agreed to acquire Scale Microgrids, a vertically integrated developer, acquirer, owner, and operator of microgrids and distributed energy resources. The deal is EQT’s first North American investment under its Transition Infrastructure strategy and will be supported by EQT’s balance sheet, with plans to invest further in Scale’s commercial processes, tech platform, and project execution capabilities.

BlackRock Diversified Infrastructure Acquires Jupiter Power

BlackRock Alternatives’ Diversified Infrastructure business agreed to acquire Jupiter Power LLC, a U.S. developer and operator of stand-alone utility-scale battery energy storage systems. EnCap Energy Transition Fund I, along with co-investment partners Yorktown Partners and Mercuria Energy, are selling Jupiter, with closing expected in late 2022 subject to customary conditions.

Aggreko Energy Transition Solutions Acquires Infiniti Energy

Aggreko Energy Transition Solutions (ETS), a division of Aggreko, has acquired Infiniti Energy, a U.S.-based commercial and industrial solar developer and IPP, from Upper Bay Infrastructure Partners. The deal adds 12 MW of contracted operating solar assets, 22 MW of construction-ready projects and an additional pipeline to Aggreko ETS, strengthening its distributed solar EPC capabilities and East Coast presence.

EQT Value-Add Infrastructure to Acquire Lazer Logistics from Harvest Partners

JSW Neo Energy Acquires O2 Power from EQT and Temasek for $1.5B

O2 Power, headquartered in Gurgaon, India, is a utility-scale renewable energy platform with c.4.7 GW of secured capacity and a team of over 300 employees.

SES AI Acquires UZ Energy (Shenzhen UZ Energy Co., Ltd.)

SES AI Corporation executed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of UZ Energy, an energy storage systems (ESS) provider, for approximately $25.5 million (subject to earnout adjustments). SES AI later announced the acquisition’s completion, positioning the company to expand reach in the global ESS market—especially in the United States—by combining UZ’s hardware and go-to-market with SES AI’s Molecular Universe software and battery materials.
