Watsco, Inc., together with Carrier Global Corporation, signed an agreement to acquire Temperature Equipment Corporation (TEC) for Watsco to own 80% and Carrier 20%. TEC is a Chicago/Lansing, Illinois–based HVAC distributor with $291 million in 2020 sales, ~10,000 customers and 32 Midwest locations; the deal expands Watsco's footprint into the U.S. Midwest.

Watsco Acquires Gateway Supply Company

Watsco, Inc. completed the acquisition of Gateway Supply Company, a Columbia, South Carolina-based distributor of plumbing and HVAC products with approximately $180 million in annual sales and 16 locations across South Carolina and North Carolina. The transaction expands Watsco's footprint in core Sunbelt markets and brings Gateway into Watsco's technology and scale while Gateway's leadership (the Williams family) will continue to run the business.

The Arcticom Group Acquires Tomco Mechanical Corporation

The Arcticom Group, a Walnut Creek, California-based HVACR platform backed by A&M Capital Partners, has acquired Tomco Mechanical Corporation, a Westbury, New York provider of commercial refrigeration and HVAC services. The acquisition expands Arcticom's footprint to the East Coast and strengthens its service offering to national and regional grocery and commercial customers, with Tomco's management (led by John Martinelli) remaining in leadership and retaining a meaningful ownership stake.

Rexel Acquires Wasco from Gilde

Rexel Group has agreed to acquire Wasco, a leading Dutch wholesaler in heating, plumbing, spare parts and HVAC, from Gilde Equity Management and Wasco management. The transaction, subject to works council consultation and European competition approval, will allow Wasco to continue expanding its product range and support customers in the Netherlands' energy transition while operating under its own name.

Heritage Distribution Holdings Acquires AMSCO Supply

Heritage Distribution Holdings, the U.S. platform for Beijer Ref AB, has agreed to acquire the assets of AMSCO Supply, a family-owned wholesale HVAC distributor headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. AMSCO, which has roughly $45 million in annual sales and about 50 employees, will continue to operate under its own brand with existing management rolling over an ownership stake; the deal expands Heritage Distribution's U.S. footprint into adjacent Midwest and Southwest territories.

Hudson Technologies Acquires USA Refrigerants

Hudson Technologies acquired USA United Suppliers of America Inc. (d/b/a USA Refrigerants) for $20.7 million, with up to $2.0 million in additional earnout consideration. USA Refrigerants is a national refrigerant distributor and longtime purchaser of recovered refrigerants; Hudson said the purchase will create a dedicated refrigerant acquisition group to expand its acquisition, reclamation and sales capabilities.
