Francisco Partners Acquires Jama Software for $1.2B

Francisco Partners has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Jama Software from shareholders including Insight Partners and Madrona Ventures for $1.2 billion. Jama CEO Marc Osofsky will reinvest and remain CEO as Francisco Partners partners with the company to accelerate expansion across enterprises, industries and geographies; the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

Francisco Partners completed a take-private acquisition of Jamf for $13.05 per share in cash, valuing the Apple device management and security company at an enterprise value of approximately $2.2 billion. The deal, approved by Jamf stockholders, will delist Jamf from NASDAQ and positions the company to accelerate its product roadmap and expand its offerings under private ownership.

WorkWave Acquires TEAM Software

WorkWave, a PE-backed provider of field service SaaS solutions, has signed an agreement to acquire TEAM Software, a leading provider of software for cleaning, janitorial, security, and facilities management service providers. The deal (expected to close end of September 2021) is an add-on to WorkWave’s portfolio that expands its vertical coverage and international footprint; TEAM was previously backed by Accel-KKR.

Jamf Acquires dataJAR

Jamf (NASDAQ: JAMF) has acquired U.K.-based Apple-focused managed services provider dataJAR to strengthen its MSP partner offerings and expand capabilities for managing Apple devices. The acquisition will integrate dataJAR's multi-tenant management platform and services into Jamf to help MSPs scale Apple device management across business and education customers; terms were not disclosed.
