Mirion Technologies Acquires Computerized Imaging Reference Systems (CIRS)

Mirion Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: MIR) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Computerized Imaging Reference Systems, Inc. (CIRS), a Norfolk, Virginia–based maker of medical imaging and radiation therapy phantoms. CIRS (≈80 employees) will be integrated into Mirion's Medical segment; the transaction is expected to close in Q4 2021 for approximately $54 million and is intended to expand Mirion's medical product and services capabilities and drive margin synergies.

(NYSE: MIR) has completed the acquisition of Paragon Energy Solutions, a Fort Worth-based provider of engineered electrical, instrumentation & controls, HVAC, mechanical and flow components for nuclear power plants and small modular reactors. Paragon was sold by Windjammer Capital Investors, which had acquired the company in November 2021 and supported product expansion and sales-channel investments to position Paragon for growth in the nuclear sector.

Mirion Technologies Acquires Critical Infrastructure Business of Collins Aerospace

The CI business — which will integrate under Mirion as Secure Integrated Solutions (SIS) and operates out of Carrollton, Texas and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — brings command-and-control software and cybersecurity capabilities for nuclear power plants and government facilities to expand Mirion's industrial software and digital offerings.
