Gemspring Capital Acquires Goodyear Chemical’s Polymer Chemicals Business

An affiliate of Gemspring Capital agreed to acquire The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s polymer chemicals business, known as Goodyear Chemical, including manufacturing plants in Houston and Beaumont, Texas, and an R&D facility in Akron, Ohio. The acquisition was completed on November 3, 2025, establishing the business as a standalone company; Goodyear retained its Niagara Falls and Bayport chemical facilities and the rights to products made there.
