Wonder, a food-hall and “super app” platform, announced it will acquire Grubhub, the U.S. food ordering and delivery marketplace, from Just Eat Takeaway.com for an enterprise value of $650 million. Completion is expected in Q1 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

DoorDash to Acquire Deliveroo

DoorDash has reached an agreement with Deliveroo’s board for a recommended final cash acquisition of the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Deliveroo. Under the terms, Deliveroo shareholders will receive 180 pence per share, valuing Deliveroo at approximately £2.9 billion (about £2.4 billion enterprise value), with the deal expected to close in Q4 2025 subject to conditions.

Fantuan Acquires Chowbus' Delivery Business

Vancouver-based Fantuan has acquired the delivery business line of Chicago-based Chowbus; financial terms were not disclosed. About 20 Chowbus employees will join Fantuan as the companies form a partnership to combine Fantuan's delivery network with Chowbus' restaurant management software, boosting Fantuan's U.S. penetration and pushing its U.S. market share to over 60%.

Prosus to Acquire Remaining Stake in iFood from Just Eat

Prosus N.V., majority-owned by Naspers, agreed to acquire the remaining 33.3% stake in iFood from minority shareholder Just Eat Holding Limited for €1.5bn in cash plus up to €300m in contingent consideration. After the transaction, Prosus and its affiliate Movile will fully own iFood.

Shopify Inc. completed its acquisition of Deliverr, Inc. for approximately $2.1 billion in a mix of cash and Shopify Class A shares. The deal integrates Deliverr's fulfillment software, talent, data, and network into the Shopify Fulfillment Network to expand multichannel, fast fulfillment for merchants across major marketplaces and sales channels.
