Greenlight Networks Acquires FastBridge Fiber

Greenlight Networks entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Pennsylvania-based FastBridge Fiber to expand the provider’s fiber-to-the-home footprint across Pennsylvania and key New York markets. The transaction is expected to close in mid-2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, and is intended to accelerate next-generation high-speed internet deployment for residents and small businesses.

Oak Hill Capital Acquires Controlling Interest in Greenlight Networks

Oak Hill Capital will acquire a controlling interest in Greenlight Networks through its Oak Hill Capital Partners VI fund and plans to invest up to $300 million to accelerate the fiber-to-the-home expansion across New York and beyond. Greenlight currently serves approximately 80,000 homes, employs about 160 people, and the transaction is expected to close pending New York State Public Service Commission approval.

Lightpath to Acquire United Fiber & Data Assets

Lightpath has signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of United Fiber & Data; the deal is subject to regulatory approvals and expected to close in Q3 2024. The acquisition adds a geographically diverse, high-fiber-count 323-route mile long-haul network between New York City and Ashburn, VA, plus a 79-route mile metro network in NYC/NJ, expanding Lightpath's capacity into the Ashburn data center ecosystem and increasing Manhattan serviceable market by over 20%.

Lightpath Acquires Cambridge Network Solutions, Hub Fiber Assets and Local Provider to Enter Boston Market

Lightpath announced three concurrent acquisitions to establish an all-fiber, enterprise-grade presence in the Greater Boston area: the purchase of Cambridge Network Solutions (CNS), a second local connectivity provider (unnamed), and the acquisition of fiber network assets from Hub Fiber. The deals add over 80 route miles of fiber serving more than 100 locations (including 12 data centers) and connect Lightpath’s new Boston footprint to its NY Metro network.

Morrison & Co-Led Consortium Acquires FiberLight

Morrison & Co, together with Australian Retirement Trust and a managed client of UBS Asset Management, signed a definitive agreement to acquire FiberLight, a U.S. fiber infrastructure provider, from Thermo Companies. The consortium will support FiberLight's network expansion across major U.S. markets to meet rising demand for high-bandwidth connectivity; terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to customary closing conditions.

Newlight Partners Makes Equity Investment in Sail Internet
