DATTCO Acquires Land/Jet to Expand Regional Bus Operations and Modernize Fleet

DATTCO Inc. has acquired Land/Jet, a bus operator based in Watertown, expanding DATTCO’s presence in western Connecticut and extending service into New York. The transition will integrate Land/Jet’s 10-bus fleet, with about half expected to be retired and replaced by newer vehicles from DATTCO’s existing fleet, while retaining all Land/Jet employees.

Canada Cartage Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The GTI Group, a Montreal-based logistics provider offering brokerage, freight management, forwarding, drayage, intermodal, warehousing and specialized heavy/oversize trucking. The deal expands Canada Cartage’s service capabilities and marks its first entry into the U.S. market, with GTI’s U.S. offices in Houston, Des Moines and Franklin, Tennessee; the combined company is expected to generate over C$1 billion in annual revenue.
