H.I.G. Infrastructure Acquires Controlling Interest in PolarDC Group

An affiliate of H.I.G. Capital’s infrastructure strategy has acquired a controlling interest in PolarDC Group Limited, a European developer, owner and operator of high-performance computing (HPC) data center infrastructure. Polar’s first data center in Norway will offer up to 48MW of capacity, powered by 100% renewable hydroelectric power, and early investor LIAN Group will retain a minority stake as H.I.G. supports delivery of Polar’s near-term project pipeline to serve AI/HPC demand.

Infrastructure) has acquired a controlling interest in Greenflash Infrastructure, LP, a Houston-based developer and operator of grid-scale energy storage and power generation projects. The investment will provide capital and operational support to accelerate Greenflash's pipeline of brownfield and greenfield energy storage and controllable load projects serving utilities and municipal cooperatives.

H.I.G. Capital (via an affiliate) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire CGH Group S.A., a manufacturer of large, engineered storage tanks and tank accessories serving EMEA. The deal is subject to antitrust clearance and will support CGH’s growth plans including geographical expansion, product extension, and additional production capacity.

H.I.G. Capital has completed a public-to-private acquisition of DX Group plc (formerly AIM-listed) for an aggregate consideration of £307 million. The acquisition gives H.I.G. control of the UK-based last-mile delivery and logistics provider DX, which operates across the United Kingdom and Ireland and will be supported to accelerate growth across its IDW, 2-Man, logistics and express parcels divisions.

H.I.G. Capital’s infrastructure arm, H.I.G. Infrastructure, has acquired a controlling interest in Northern Biogas, a Morgantown, West Virginia–based waste-to-renewable natural gas company that develops, builds, owns and operates anaerobic digester and RNG facilities. The investment will support Northern Biogas’ development pipeline of dairy, landfill and food-waste RNG projects across the U.S. as the company scales its construction, operations and service capabilities.

H.I.G. said the investment will support Hibu's next phase of growth and product innovation; the seller is Hibu Group Limited (UK).
