Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Trustmark Health Benefits, the third-party administrator subsidiary of Trustco Holdings/Trustmark, to expand HCSC’s capabilities serving self-funded employers. The deal — subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals — will integrate Health Benefits’ customizable plan design, claims administration and data-driven services into HCSC’s offerings while Trustmark refocuses on other growth markets.

Centauri Health Solutions Acquires MedAllies

Centauri Health Solutions, a Phoenix-based health information technology company, has acquired MedAllies, a New York-based Health Information Service Provider (HISP) and Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN). The deal expands Centauri's clinical exchange network by adding MedAllies' connectivity, messaging and record-location capabilities and brings access to more than 1,000 hospitals, 5,000 ambulatory organizations and 125,000 healthcare providers.

Alliant Insurance Services Acquires Health Market Solutions, LLC

Alliant Insurance Services has acquired Health Market Solutions, LLC (HMS), a Tampa-based direct-to-consumer health insurance agency focused on Affordable Care Act (ACA) under-65 individual plans. HMS will join Alliant Consumer Group to expand Alliant’s presence and capabilities in the fast-growing ACA marketplace; terms were not disclosed and the entire HMS team will join Alliant.

ScionHealth Acquires Cornerstone Healthcare Group

CVS Health Acquires Hella+Health

CVS Health has acquired Hella+Health, a New York City–based Medicare Advantage broker that helps Medicare-eligible consumers shop for and enroll in plans through its licensed agency Audomo Insurance Services LLC. The small, nationwide broker — whose founder Rafal Walkiewicz posted the news on LinkedIn — will join CVS as the company works to address near-term Medicare Advantage challenges and expand its consumer enrollment and brokerage capabilities.
