HelpSystems (now Fortra) acquired Vera, a cloud-based data-centric security provider, to expand its data security portfolio and provide dynamic encryption, tracking and access controls across the full data lifecycle. The acquisition is intended to strengthen HelpSystems' / Fortra's ability to protect sensitive IP and regulated data for customers across financial services, manufacturing, media & entertainment and other industries.
