Macquarie Asset Management Acquires IHS Towers’ South American Wireless Tower Operations

Macquarie Asset Management, acting on behalf of a privately managed infrastructure fund, acquired the South American wireless tower operations of IHS Mauritius BR Limited, part of IHS Holding Limited (IHS Towers). The transaction includes more than 8,700 tower sites in Brazil and about 250 sites in Colombia and strengthens Macquarie’s long-term digital infrastructure portfolio in Latin America.

MTN Group Acquires IHS Towers in $6.2 Billion All-Cash Deal

CTI Towers Acquires SCI Towers

CTI Towers, a portfolio company of Palistar Capital, has completed the acquisition of SCI Towers, an independent communications tower developer that CTI had partnered with since 2016. The deal adds a significant number of recently-built towers and sites in development—primarily in the Southeastern United States—to CTI Towers' existing portfolio of ~1,200 towers.

SPX Corporation Acquires International Tower Lighting, LLC

SPX Corporation has completed the acquisition of International Tower Lighting, LLC (ITL), a La Vergne, Tennessee–based designer and manufacturer of obstruction lighting systems and tower monitoring services. ITL (approximately $18 million revenue) will be reported as part of SPX's AtoN platform within its Detection & Measurement segment and is expected to modestly accrete segment margin.

Phoenix Tower International (PTI) has acquired a 100% ownership interest in Tower Ventures Holdings, LLC and related entities, gaining ownership of 197 wireless communication towers across the United States. The deal — terms confidential — expands PTI's U.S. tower portfolio ahead of 5G deployments; Tower Ventures is a Memphis, Tennessee–based tower operator previously owned by its management team with an investment from BBH Capital Partners.
