AGIC Capital acquired a majority stake in Pure Trade from Sparring Capital, the management team, and founders. The existing Pure Trade management team (including CEO Stéfane Ladous) will reinvest and remain in place as AGIC supports geographic expansion (notably US and APAC), ESG and digitalization initiatives, and a buy-and-build strategy to broaden the company’s product offering.

Petroglyph Development Group (PDG), a wholly owned corporation of Snuneymuxw First Nation, has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Great Canadian Casino Vancouver in Coquitlam, British Columbia, from Great Canadian Entertainment. The proposed acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and receipt of required regulatory and third-party approvals, including Competition Act approvals.

CanBiocin Acquires Assets of Pure Cultures to Expand U.S. Operations

Edmonton-based CanBiocin Inc. acquired all assets of Denver-based Pure Cultures Inc., effective April 30, 2020, including species-specific probiotics, a U.S. patent and product brands Flock Vitality and Pig Vitality. The acquisition establishes CanBiocin operations in the United States and brings Pure Cultures founder Steve Kazemi into CanBiocin as Chief Commercialization Officer; deal terms were not disclosed.

Petroglyph Development Group (PDG), wholly owned by Snuneymuxw First Nation, and Great Canadian Entertainment entered into definitive agreements for PDG to purchase two casino businesses: River Rock Casino Resort and Chances Maple Ridge. Closing is subject to regulatory and other approvals, after which PDG expects to become one of the largest casino operators by revenue in British Columbia and the largest Canadian Indigenous-owned gaming operator by revenue in Canada.
