Informa PLC Combines Informa Tech Digital Businesses with TechTarget to Create Informa TechTarget

Informa PLC will combine Informa Tech’s digital businesses with TechTarget to form a new holding company (“New TechTarget” / “Informa TechTarget”) positioned as a B2B growth accelerator. The transaction includes $350 million of cash from Informa PLC and will give Informa PLC an approximately 57% stake, with existing TechTarget shareholders retaining approximately 43%.

Industry Dive, a portfolio company of Falfurrias Capital Partners, acquired NewsCred’s Content Marketing studio and services business, including assets, people and clients, while NewsCred will retain its software products. The deal transfers a team of about 40 former NewsCred employees to Industry Dive (to be led by Jane Qin Medeiros) and was supported by unitranche financing from Stellus Capital Management.

Falfurrias Capital Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Industry Dive

Charlotte-based private equity firm Falfurrias Capital Partners acquired a majority equity interest in Industry Dive, a Washington, D.C.-based B2B media and digital publishing company. The partnership will support Industry Dive’s plans to scale its B2B journalism, business intelligence, and sales and marketing products into new audiences and industry verticals while the co-founders remain in leadership roles.
