Legacy Food Group Adds Halsey Foodservice as Operating Division

Legacy Food Group announced that Halsey Foodservice, a fourth-generation broadline foodservice distributor based in Madison, Alabama, will join LFG as its fifth operating division. Halsey will retain its name and management, with leadership taking an equity stake in Legacy Food Group and the business gaining access to LFG's purchasing, supplier relationships and coordinated sales and marketing resources to expand in the Southeast.

C.H. Guenther & Son Acquires Fresca Mexican Foods

San Antonio-headquartered C.H. Guenther & Son (CHG), a Pritzker Private Capital-backed food manufacturer, has acquired Fresca Mexican Foods, a Caldwell, Idaho-based producer of flour and corn tortillas and tortilla chips. The acquisition expands CHG's tortilla manufacturing capacity, adds Fresca's 190,000 sq. ft. facility and ~375 employees, and deepens CHG's relationships with QSR, foodservice and private-label customers.

Latina Boulevard Foods Acquires Hillcrest Food Service

Latina Boulevard Foods, a portfolio company of The Anderson Group, has purchased the assets of Hillcrest Food Service, a Rochester, New York-based foodservice distributor that specializes in servicing pizzerias. The acquisition is an add-on to Latina's distribution platform to expand its customer base, add new products, and grow in the Rochester and Syracuse markets.

Flagship Food Group (with CREO Capital) Acquires Yucatan Foods

Flagship Food Group, with co-investor CREO Capital Partners, has acquired Yucatan Foods, adding the Yucatan and Cabo Fresh guacamole and dips brands and a 97,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Silao, Mexico to its portfolio. The deal expands Flagship's refrigerated/deli/produce offerings, strengthens its Hispanic and Southwestern product set, and supports vertical integration and cross-promotional opportunities with its existing brands.

GrubMarket Acquires Best Fresh Produce, Inc.

GrubMarket has completed the acquisition of Best Fresh Produce, Inc., a Los Angeles–based fresh fruit and vegetable supplier founded in 2007. The deal expands GrubMarket's presence in the Los Angeles market and gives Best Fresh Produce access to GrubMarket's WholesaleWare SaaS platform while remaining based in Los Angeles under its existing management team.

Lineage Logistics Acquires Grupo Fuentes

Lineage Logistics has completed the acquisition of Grupo Fuentes, a Murcia-headquartered Spanish transport and cold-storage operator. The deal brings Grupo Fuentes' fleet of more than 500 vehicles, six logistics centers, a 60,000-pallet refrigerated warehouse, and approximately 850 employees into Lineage, strengthening its cold-chain and transport footprint in Spain and Southern Europe.
