Confluence Genetics, a new agritech company backed by investors led by Expedition Ag Partners and S2G Investments, purchased the business assets of Benson Hill following Delaware bankruptcy court approval. The asset sale will relaunch Benson Hill’s soybean trait business under Confluence Genetics in Creve Coeur, Missouri, retaining an experienced team and focusing on high‑protein soybean genetics, its AI-driven CropOS breeding platform and a speed‑breeding facility.

Benson Hill Biosystems Acquires Assets of Schillinger Genetics (eMerge Genetics)

Benson Hill Biosystems has acquired the assets of Schillinger Genetics (also known as eMerge Genetics), an Iowa-based developer of high-protein, non-GMO soybean varieties. Benson Hill will integrate Schillinger's germplasm and breeding expertise into its Seeds & Traits business and use its CropOS platform and gene editing capabilities to accelerate development of expanded soybean portfolios for human food and animal feed markets.

Harwood Private Equity Acquires Crest Foods

Harwood Private Equity has acquired Crest Foods, a US-based provider of dairy stabilizers, contract packaging, and private-label dry food manufacturing. Terms were not disclosed; Brown Gibbons Lang & Company served as financial advisor and facilitated a sale-leaseback of Crest's 575,000-square-foot Ashton, Illinois facility via TPG Angelo Gordon's Net Lease business. Harwood said the acquisition will support Crest Foods’ next phase of growth.

Benford Capital Partners portfolio company Nutrition Service Company (NSC) completed two add-on acquisitions: Echo Ridge Ag Services, LLC and Kress Farm Supply, Inc. (d/b/a Sherwood Elevator). The transactions expand NSC's dairy nutrition capabilities, customer base across Wisconsin, and feed production and grain storage capacity while providing an exit path for the Kress family.

Latina Boulevard Foods Acquires Hillcrest Food Service
