AutoNation, Inc. acquired Mercedes-Benz of Chicago and Fletcher Jones Audi (including related real estate) from Fletcher Jones Automotive Group, closing on Sept. 15. The purchase expands AutoNation's metro Chicago footprint to nine dealerships (including three Mercedes-Benz and two Audi locations); The Presidio Group served as exclusive advisor to AutoNation.

WhiteWater Express Car Wash Acquires Jerry's Express Car Wash

WhiteWater Express Car Wash, a Houston-based express car wash platform, acquired Jerry's Express Car Wash’s seven Dallas–Fort Worth locations, expanding WhiteWater’s DFW footprint to 16 sites and increasing its total locations to 29. Foundation Automotive Corp. has acquired the AutoNation Hyundai 104 dealership in Westminster, Colorado and will operate the site as Foundation Hyundai as part of its Medved Autoplex family. The acquisition is Foundation's 22nd store overall and its seventh in the Colorado market, expanding the group's Hyundai franchise presence in the Denver metro area. AutoNation was the selling party.

Sonic Automotive Completes Acquisition of RFJ Auto Partners

Sonic Automotive, a Fortune 500 automotive retailer, has completed the acquisition of RFJ Auto Partners, adding 33 dealership locations across seven states and a portfolio that includes Dave Smith Motors. The deal is expected to add approximately $3.2 billion in annualized revenues and expand Sonic's geographic footprint and brand portfolio, moving the company into the top-five U.S. dealer groups by revenue.
