Foam Fabricators Acquires Substantially All Assets of Polyfoam Corp.

Foam Fabricators, a Compass Diversified Holdings-backed packaging platform, has acquired substantially all of the assets of Massachusetts-based Polyfoam Corp., expanding Foam Fabricators' protective and temperature-sensitive packaging capabilities and geographic footprint. The deal adds Polyfoam's cold-chain and injection-molded plastic capabilities and enables cross-selling to national customers while Foam Fabricators also announced a partnership with Rational Packaging and commercialization of a biodegradable EPS product.

Specialty Products and Insulation Acquires NewStar Solutions Inc.

Specialty Products and Insulation (SPI), a portfolio company of Dunes Point Capital, LP (DPC), has acquired NewStar Solutions Inc., a distributor of aerogel insulation products based in Alberta, Canada. The acquisition is an add-on to SPI’s insulation distribution platform and expands its product offering and presence in the Canadian commercial and industrial insulation markets.

UMAX Group Corp. Acquires Home Foam Corporation

UMAX Group Corp., an OTC-listed Nevada corporation, has acquired Home Foam Corporation, a Las Vegas-based custom manufacturer of expanded polystyrene (EPS) architectural products, packaging inserts and geo-foam. The acquisition was completed via an equity exchange making Home Foam a wholly owned subsidiary; Home Foam operates a 12,500 sq. ft. facility with nine full-time employees and services regional commercial and home-building clients.

Holcim Acquires SES Foam

Holcim has agreed to acquire SES Foam (SES Foam LLC), the largest independent spray-foam insulation company in the United States, expanding Holcim’s Solutions & Products roofing and insulation business. The deal, which closed July 29, 2022, was a sale by Tenex Capital Management and brings SES’s sustainable, bio-based spray-foam capabilities and ~USD 200m 2022 net sales into Holcim’s portfolio to support its Strategy 2025 growth objectives.
