TRM Equity Acquires Wellman Dynamics

TRM Equity II, a Michigan-based private equity firm, has acquired all equity of WDC Acquisition LLC, doing business as Wellman Dynamics, a Creston, Iowa-based aerospace foundry that manufactures large, complex magnesium and aluminum castings for defense and commercial aerospace customers. The transaction closed July 29, 2022; Wellman employs approximately 350 people and has operated in Creston since 1965.

TriMas Corporation Acquires GMT Aerospace (GMT Gummi-Metall-Technik GmbH Aerospace Business)

TriMas Corporation has completed the acquisition of the aerospace business of GMT Gummi-Metall-Technik GmbH (now operating as GMT Aerospace). GMT Aerospace, based in Germany, manufactures tie-rods and rubber-metal anti-vibration systems for commercial and military aerospace customers and generated about €22 million in fiscal 2024; the deal expands TriMas Aerospace's manufacturing footprint in Europe and strengthens relationships with European OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

TriMas Acquires Omega Plastics and TFI Aerospace

TriMas (NASDAQ: TRS) announced bolt-on acquisitions of Omega Plastics (added to TriMas Packaging) and TFI Aerospace (added to TriMas Aerospace). Omega, a Clinton Township, Michigan injection-molding and tooling company serving medical and industrial markets, generated about $18M of revenue in 2021; TFI, near Toronto, is a specialty aerospace fastener supplier with about $6M of revenue. TriMas said both targets are private, family-owned companies and expects the deals to expand product offerings and manufacturing capacity while keeping net leverage below 2.0x.

Arcline Forms Quantic and Acquires TRM Microwave

Arcline Investment Management formed a new platform called Quantic and announced that Quantic has acquired TRM Microwave. TRM Microwave is a designer and manufacturer of custom RF and microwave components and subsystems serving military, space and commercial markets; the deal is an add-on to build out Quantic's mission-critical electronics capabilities.

Total Resource Management Acquires Aquitas Solutions

Total Resource Management (TRM), an Alexandria, Virginia–based provider of enterprise asset management and digital transformation services, has acquired Aquitas Solutions, a Roswell, Georgia–based EAM and IoT specialist. The acquisition expands TRM's capabilities across IBM Maximo, SAP PM, TRIRIGA, AspenTech, HxGN, and PTC IoT platforms, enhancing its service offerings in predictive maintenance, cloud-based EAM modernization, and industry-specific accelerators.

TRM Acquires Sheffield Scientific

TRM, an Alexandria-based enterprise asset management and reliability consultancy, has acquired Sheffield Scientific, a Katy, Texas consulting firm focused on EAM (IBM Maximo, Hitachi Asset Suite) and OT cybersecurity for power generation. The deal strengthens TRM's power generation capabilities, adds Sheffield's Serket OT risk-management software and specialist personnel, and increases TRM's headcount to more than 180 employees.
