TriMas Corporation Acquires GMT Aerospace (GMT Gummi-Metall-Technik GmbH Aerospace Business)

TriMas Corporation has completed the acquisition of the aerospace business of GMT Gummi-Metall-Technik GmbH (now operating as GMT Aerospace). GMT Aerospace, based in Germany, manufactures tie-rods and rubber-metal anti-vibration systems for commercial and military aerospace customers and generated about €22 million in fiscal 2024; the deal expands TriMas Aerospace's manufacturing footprint in Europe and strengthens relationships with European OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

TriMas Corporation signed an agreement to acquire the operating net assets of Weldmac Manufacturing Company, a family estate‑owned designer and manufacturer of high‑performance metal fabricated components for aerospace, defense, space launch and commercial power markets. The deal (expected to close in the coming months) will fold Weldmac into TriMas Aerospace to expand TriMas’s engineered structural solutions and manufacturing capabilities.

TriMas Acquires Omega Plastics and TFI Aerospace

TriMas (NASDAQ: TRS) announced bolt-on acquisitions of Omega Plastics (added to TriMas Packaging) and TFI Aerospace (added to TriMas Aerospace). Omega, a Clinton Township, Michigan injection-molding and tooling company serving medical and industrial markets, generated about $18M of revenue in 2021; TFI, near Toronto, is a specialty aerospace fastener supplier with about $6M of revenue. TriMas said both targets are private, family-owned companies and expects the deals to expand product offerings and manufacturing capacity while keeping net leverage below 2.0x.

TriMas Corporation agreed to acquire RSA Engineered Products, a Simi Valley-based manufacturer of highly engineered air ducting, connectors and related components for aerospace and defense applications. The deal, announced January 30, 2020 and closed March 2, 2020, brings RSA into TriMas' Aerospace segment and expands TriMas' capabilities and position in defense, business jet and aftermarket markets.

AE Industrial Partners’ portfolio company Triman Industries acquired Brighton Cromwell and Crestwood Technology Group (CTG) to combine the three businesses into a single military aftermarket supply‑chain management platform. The transaction creates a scaled provider of distribution, kitting, logistics, obsolescence management and repair management services serving U.S. and international military customers and OEM partners; shareholders of the targets will retain significant ownership and remain in leadership roles. Terms were not disclosed.

Castellum, Inc. (NYSE-American: CTM) has closed its acquisition of Global Technologies Management Resources, Inc. (GTMR), a government contractor based in Hollywood, Maryland, adding roughly $10 million of revenue and about 60 employees. The transaction is structured as a tax-free reorganization with a majority of the consideration in Castellum restricted common stock and is immediately accretive to Castellum's financial metrics while expanding its electronic warfare and cybersecurity capabilities near NAS Patuxent River.
