The transaction represents First Capital Partners' exit of its 2013 investment in Calcium Products; Piper Sandler & Co. advised Calcium Products in the sale.

The deal expands Mississippi Lime's ability to serve the growing next-generation steel production market in the Central U.S. and includes planned investment to upgrade the facility's kiln to a more energy-efficient vertical kiln.

HBM Holdings Acquires Control Devices

Control Devices was previously a portfolio company of Goldner Hawn; terms were not disclosed and Control Devices' existing management will remain in place as HBM pursues a buy-and-build growth strategy in industrial components.

Mississippi Lime Company (MLC), an HBM Holdings company, has completed the acquisition of Burnett, Inc., a technical leader in lime slurry systems and services used in municipal water treatment. The deal includes Burnett's four Southeast U.S. operations, trucking business and proprietary technologies (CAL~FLO and the RE~MIN PROCESS); financial terms were not disclosed.
