Mississippi Lime Company (MLC), an HBM Holdings company, has completed the acquisition of Burnett, Inc., a technical leader in lime slurry systems and services used in municipal water treatment. The deal includes Burnett's four Southeast U.S. operations, trucking business and proprietary technologies (CAL~FLO and the RE~MIN PROCESS); financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition, which closed on September 8, 2022, expands MLC's geographic footprint into the UK and adds Singleton Birch's lime, specialty chemicals and renewable-energy capabilities to MLC's product and technology offerings.

HBM Holdings Acquires Calcium Products, Inc.

Granite Construction Acquires Lehman-Roberts Company and Memphis Stone & Gravel

Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE: GVA) has acquired Lehman-Roberts Company and Memphis Stone & Gravel Company, expanding its materials and paving footprint in the Memphis metropolitan market. The deal adds asphalt plants and sand & gravel mines (with substantial reserves) to Granite’s operations and will be financed with a $150 million term loan plus revolver and cash on hand; the acquired companies’ leadership will remain in place.
