Worldwide Produce, a portfolio company of Sole Source Capital, has acquired Valley Food Services, a fresh produce and dairy distributor serving the Coachella Valley. The add-on expands Worldwide Produce's presence in the Coachella Valley and complements its West Coast distribution network; terms were not disclosed.

Sunbelt Solomon Acquires Valley Transformer, Inc.

Sunbelt Solomon Services has acquired Valley Transformer, Inc., a Pacific Northwest provider of transformer repair and refurbishment based in Otis Orchards, Washington. The deal expands Sunbelt Solomon's footprint and capabilities in the Pacific Northwest, giving Valley access to Sunbelt Solomon's inventory, purchasing power, and expanded field and rental services; terms were not disclosed. Valley's president and owner Kerry Riccardi will continue to lead the business as vice president and general manager.

Twin River Berries Acquires Oregon Berry Packing

Twin River Berries has acquired Oregon Berry Packing, Inc., a Pacific Northwest grower-packer of fresh and frozen berries. As part of the deal Ben Escoe (President & CEO of Twin River) will also lead Oregon Berry, with Zane Coleman named COO and Jeff and Brian Malensky retaining category leadership; the acquisition expands Twin River's vertically integrated berry platform to better serve major retailers and distributors across North America and Asia.

Mississippi Lime Company Acquires Valley Minerals

Mississippi Lime Company (an HBM company) completed the acquisition of Valley Minerals, a single-site dolomitic quicklime producer in Bonne Terre, Missouri. The deal expands Mississippi Lime's ability to serve the growing next-generation steel production market in the Central U.S. and includes planned investment to upgrade the facility's kiln to a more energy-efficient vertical kiln.
