L Squared Capital Partners led a recapitalization of Literacy Resources, LLC d/b/a Heggerty, with Longview Asset Management, existing investor Pondera Holdings and Heggerty’s executive team rolling equity. Debt financing was provided by BMO Sponsor Finance and New Canaan Funding, with William Blair advising L Squared and Macquarie Capital advising Heggerty. The transaction will fund product development, digital offerings, professional development, and sales & marketing to expand Heggerty’s literacy impact.

Litera Acquires Kira Systems

Litera has agreed to acquire Kira Systems, a Toronto-based leader in machine learning contract analysis, to strengthen its Transaction Management platform and expand due diligence workflows. As part of the deal, Kira majority investor Insight Partners will become a minority investor in Litera while Hg remains Litera's majority investor; Kira's AI research team will spin out as a new company, Zuva.
