HDF Energy Acquires 70% Stake in NewGen Hydrogen Project (Trinidad)

HDF Energy has acquired a 70% majority stake in the NewGen hydrogen project led by Kenesjay Green Limited (KGL) in Trinidad, with KGL retaining a 30% interest. The NewGen facility — a planned >$200 million green hydrogen plant using solar and efficient power — will supply carbon-free hydrogen to a large ammonia plant at Point Lisas and represents HDF's strategic expansion into Caribbean renewable hydrogen production.
