Echo Global Logistics Acquires Fastmore Logistics

Echo Global Logistics, a Chicago-based provider of technology-enabled transportation and supply chain services, acquired Fastmore Logistics, a Chicagoland non-asset-based transportation broker focused on serving international freight forwarders. The acquisition expands Echo's access to expedited brokerage capacity and provides entry into the international freight forwarding market while preserving Fastmore’s existing operations and team.

BlueGrace Logistics Acquires FreightCenter

The deal will integrate FreightCenter's customers and online freight capabilities with BlueGrace's BlueShip TMS, carrier network and managed logistics services while FreightCenter continues to operate under its existing brand.

The Jordan Company Affiliate Acquires Echo Global Logistics

An affiliate of private equity firm The Jordan Company completed the acquisition of Echo Global Logistics, Inc. for $48.25 per share in cash, taking the Chicago-based logistics provider private and suspending its Nasdaq trading. The Jordan Company said it will partner with Echo’s management to invest in the company’s technology and accelerate its long-term growth strategy.

International Logistics Group (ILG) Acquires Global Freight Solutions (GFS) from Phoenix Equity Partners

International Logistics Group Ltd (ILG), part of the Yusen Logistics/NYK group, has acquired Global Freight Solutions (GFS) from Phoenix Equity Partners. The deal will allow GFS to accelerate development of its Enterprise Carrier Management (ECM) platform and leverage Yusen/ILG's fulfilment and global logistics capabilities to provide expanded end-to-end B2B and B2C supply chain support.

Sheer Logistics Acquires CargoBarn

Sheer Logistics has acquired tech-enabled 3PL and freight brokerage CargoBarn to deepen its 3PL/managed transportation and freight brokerage capabilities. The deal expands Sheer's geographic footprint (adding CargoBarn offices in Fresno, Atlanta, Dallas and Jacksonville) and strengthens its ability to offer managed services and brokerage specialty lanes; terms were not disclosed.
