BuildDirect.com Technologies Inc. acquired Michigan-based full-service flooring retailer Superb Flooring & Design LLC for USD $10 million, closing on November 17, 2021. The deal adds Superb's established Pro customer base and on-the-ground installation and project management capabilities (Superb reported >$18M revenue and >$2M EBITDA trailing 12 months), enabling BuildDirect to expand its U.S. mid-West Pro market share and leverage its digital and supply-chain platform.

AHF Products Acquires LM Flooring

AHF Products, a leading U.S. hardwood flooring manufacturer based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, will acquire LM Flooring, a global engineered hardwood flooring manufacturer with U.S. operations in Carrollton, Texas and production in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The deal (expected to close within 30 days of the announcement) expands AHF's brand portfolio and adds sawn- and sliced-face engineered manufacturing capacity to support increased U.S. demand.

AHF Products Acquires Certain Assets of American OEM (Cumberland Products Group, LLC)

AHF Products has acquired certain assets of American OEM, the trade name of Cumberland Products Group, LLC, adding the Raintree, Hearthwood and Emily Morrow Home hardwood flooring brands and an engineered hardwood manufacturing facility in Only, Tennessee. AHF — a PE-backed flooring platform — said the acquisition will expand its product capabilities, reduce lead times, and deepen relationships with American OEM’s distributor and retail customers.

MBP Group Acquires Summit Stairs and Millwork

MBP Group, a portfolio company of Validor Capital, has acquired Summit Stairs and Millwork, a Canton, Georgia-based manufacturer of interior stair products, stair components and exterior columns. The add-on deal expands MBP's residential building products line and combines Summit's patented stair product systems and regional footprint with MBP's platform; the transaction closed July 31, 2023 (terms undisclosed).

Merak Group Acquires Woodcraft Design & Furnishings

Miami-based private equity firm Merak Group has acquired Woodcraft Design and Furnishings, a Central Florida designer and manufacturer of custom furniture for the hospitality industry. Ascension Advisory served as exclusive financial advisor to Woodcraft; Merak says it will provide operational expertise and capital to support growth while preserving the company's founder-led culture.

Marquis Industries (Live Ventures) Acquires Harris Flooring Group Brands from Q.E.P.

Marquis Industries, a subsidiary of Live Ventures Incorporated, acquired the Harris Flooring Group brands (Harris, Kraus, Naturally Aged Flooring and Heritage Mill Wood Flooring) from Q.E.P. Co., Inc. on September 20, 2023 for approximately $10 million. The deal includes inventory and the book of business, and Marquis intends to retain substantially all Harris Flooring Group employees and sales representatives, effectively doubling Marquis' salesforce and expanding its flooring manufacturing portfolio.
